ABOUT THE OWNER - Barbara
Beverly-Queen
Barbara
has been an entrepreneur for over 15 years. Prior
to becoming the owner of the Echo Gallery, she operated a car leasing
business, a fashion design company, and worked for a U.S. Congressman.
Barbara believes that the greatest accomplishment you can achieve in life
is to be your own boss. Through hard work, faith and
dedication, she believes that you can accomplish and receive a greater
satisfaction out of life by owning and operating your own business.
Barbara says, "Focus on your Dream , always listen to your heart, keep it
simple, and just do it." Once you make the decision, everything
starts to fall into place for you ... but, you have to "Believe in
Yourself and Never Ever Quit."
Barbara believes that running a multicultural
gallery in the Washington Metro area gives many artisans and craftspeople a chance to
display their works in a place that caters to all cultures. "I believe that in
this society we have a wonderful opportunity to share and experience other cultures
through the arts." We are all creatures of God ... the arts allow us to have a
mutual balance ... like international foods that delight the palate." ... "I
feel blessed each day to be able to meet many local and international artists who want to
exhibit in our gallery."
